Evaluations

Evaluating nonprofit impact to drive success.

We partner with nonprofits in deep evaluation work that helps you understand more about how well programs are working, how successful programming has been, if you are meeting your mission, if there has been mission creep and other questions. The evaluation can be of a particular program(s) or of the entire organization. I engage in a collaborative process with clients and utilize tools like surveys, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, literature reviews, photo elicitation, and others to develop a complete picture of the strengths and opportunities of a program or organization.

What you can expect

A process that typically takes somewhere between six weeks and four months (depending on evaluation scope) where I lead regular meetings throughout. I will collect data using project-appropriate tools to inform both a mid-point presentation and reflection session with key staff and a detailed final report that includes testimonials, strengths, and recommendations.

Clients have used these evaluations to:

meet grant requirements from a funder, understand how to improve a struggling program, as pre-work that can inform a strategic planning process, or as a basis for securing more funding.
