Who is Waypoint Consulting?
Having worked in data and analysis for nearly 15 years, I have learned that every organization has important questions they want answers to that will help them thrive, but often lack the time or resources needed to find those answers. I augment your organization’s capacity and support you in making data-informed decisions helping you use your resources most efficiently. By partnering with me, your team can focus on what they do best, while I help provide the answers needed for continued impact.
My diverse experiences have equipped me with skills needed to help you find answers to your organization’s most pressing questions. I have spent my career in nonprofits, starting at North Carolina’s state association for nonprofits. My time there gave me a unique, bird's eye view of the struggle thousands of nonprofits, of all sizes, face each day. Eventually, I moved onto data and analysis roles at large organizations in both North Carolina and California. I have experience in collecting comprehensive data, analysis with a focus on actionable results, and supporting the implementation of those results.
I have managed end-to-end evaluation for over 50 departments, led organization-wide data culture transformation, aligned data collection and analysis with strategic initiatives, and project managed the implementation of large multi-organization policy changes. I have experience in a wide range of mixed method research tools, including: cognitive interviews, surveys, one-on-one interviews, focus groups, photo elicitation, rubrics, juried assessment of work, qualitative comment coding, and others.
Personally, I care deeply about helping women and children thrive. I currently serve as the Board Chair for Babies Need Bottoms, Western North Carolina’s only diaper bank. I have also devoted time to researching and advocating for increased access to high-quality, affordable early childhood education (ECE). I lived in Asheville, NC for the last eight years, but relocated after hurricane Helene. I now live in Raleigh, NC with my husband and two little kids. When I’m not working you’ll find me baking with my kids, trying a new restaurant with my husband, or hosting friends and family.
